Making a tree?

I tried to make a tree, which went okay. But then I wanted to play with it and how the trunk could be made up. I didn't finish it in case it would take too long, but I wanted to see what would happen if I used a loft for each vertex of the Ngon. This might work if I did it properly, but I'll stick to making a simple tree with a few branches extruded from splines for a little while until I'm a little more used to using splines. I'm still not too confident with splines but it just means I have to play with them a little more.
