After all this time...

So I know I haven't properly written any sort of evaluation or reflection on the past few weeks of work that I have done and still need to catch up on, so here it is...

I have to draw A LOT more. I've really fallen behind in my drawing, I was able to fill sketchbooks in a week last year (It was a tad smaller but I still did it!). I'm also a little out of practice when it comes to drawing in perspective and drawing it accurately. I definitely need to work on sketching thumbnails quickly and fairly accurately, so that I can draw the larger scale version of the scene a lot faster, it really does save time. I also need to work on filling the pages with more than one thing, if I can work on drawing well faster, it means I can get a lot more practice in and that I can work on other models faster too.

I need to get some watercolours down on the page as well, looking at colour would be good for quick studies. Or even drawing in different inks (not gel pen though, the sparkle can be overwhelming)

I think my contour line drawings aren't too bad when I try not to focus on rendering anything. But I do have to work on keeping my lines confident and less strict for lack of a better word. I can get really sketchy, which can take away from the drawing so it would be a good thing to work on. It's not that my lines aren't confident, I mostly know what I want to get on the page, it just doesn't look like it.

I do also need to remember to fix my work with hairspray or a fixative - all the smudging doesn't look great at all.
